Admission to Texas State University

Texas State University does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the recruitment and admission of students to the university. Students with disabilities must meet the same admission requirements as other students. The Office of Disability Services (ODS) is available to review disability documentation for students who have been accepted for admission. This enables the ODS to inform the student whether or not they will qualify for accommodations at the university based on the Texas State disability guidelines.

Undergraduate Admission

A student applying for undergraduate admission whose educational and/or personal goals for success have been negatively impacted due to disability-based reasons may wish to may address any challenges in the supplemental essay with their application for admission. Applicants whose disability documentation has been reviewed by the ODS and have received a letter outlining the accommodations they would receive if admitted, should provide a copy of this letter to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions may consider this information during the application review process.
