Mission, Vision, & Goals

Mission

The mission of the Office of Disability Services (ODS) is to promote equal access to all university programs and activities for students with disabilities. The ODS provides institution-wide advisement, consultation, and training on disability-related topics, collaborates with partners to identify and remove barriers to foster an all-inclusive campus, and provides individual services and facilitates accommodations to students with disabilities. The ODS promotes student learning, development, and success through a wholistic approach.

Vision

The Office of Disability Services will strive to become a model program serving students with disabilities in higher education.

Goals

  • Promote wholistic student development which will shape student identities (including disability) and influence how they engage the world.
  • Create a campus climate which fosters respect for and appreciation of the inherent worth of all individuals through consultation, collaboration, outreach, and university engagement.
  • Facilitate accessibility through the provision of reasonable accommodations.
