Inaugural Naturalization Celebration: Ceremony of Citizenship
It is with great enthusiasm that The Hispanic Policy Network (HPN) in collaboration with the Sociology department hosted the Inaugural Naturalization Celebration: Ceremony of Citizenship on Thursday, October 8th, 2015.
This was the first time the United States Department of Immigration performed a Naturalization Ceremony on our campus. There were 51 inductees that represented 25 different countries, who took the Oath of Allegiance as their final step to become Citizens of the United States of America, this event was of great significance to the participants, their families and the Texas State community. The Office of Disability Services provided interpreting services for this event.
