It is an ODS program that offers students with mobility impairments transportation between locations on campus. The program is free and only offered at the main campus and for transportation that the Bobcat Tram (free shuttle) does not serve.
Any student who has a temporary or permanent disability that impairs their mobility and prohibits them for traveling around campus.
The service operates between the hours of 7:30a.m. and 5:30p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding University holidays) during the spring and fall semesters. Special summer hours are 7:30a.m. to 5:15p.m. Monday through Friday, Mid-May to Mid- August.
You should go by Office of Disability Services, LBJ Student Center 5-5.1 and pickup an application, liability waiver, and healthcare provider referral form or visit ODS website and print off the application and forms.
Have your healthcare provider complete the healthcare provider referral form that includes the following:
Submit all the completed forms and a printed class schedule to the Office of Disability Services, LBJ Student Center 5-5.1, temporary disability applicants will need to schedule an initial consultation.
The reviewing process typically takes three (3) to five (5) business days, and once approved scheduling begins within two (2) business days. The process can take longer if more information is required or a consultation is necessary.
Cats on the Go will only provide transportation between scheduled classes that you are unable to get to in a timely manner as well as transportation to or from your residence hall if you live on campus or a campus parking lot or Bobcat Tram pickup spot.
Call Cats on the Go, 245-3451, and the driver will return and pick you up after the other scheduled pickups have been made.
Notify Cats on the Go, 245-3451, at least 24 hours prior and let them know what day and times you will not need the service.
