The Office of Disability Services at Texas State employs both staff and contract sign language interpreters to meet the demand for interpreting services.  The ODS interpreting team includes:

• Student self advocacy
• Teaming 
• Strict adherence to the Code of Ethics                         

Interpreter Qualifications

• Texas license or RID certification

• College transcript or Bachelors degree preferred

• Demonstrated educational background & strengths

• Educational interpreting experience: post-secondary preferred

• Screening interviews with interpreting
