As a faculty member at Texas State, it is likely that you will be asked to provide an accommodation for a student with a disability. “Students with Disabilities, a Faculty Resource Guide” is designed to furnish information regarding Federal law and university policies in providing academic accommodations as well as some guidelines for communicating with students with disabilities. This guide is intended as an overview. Specific considerations for individual students are made on a case-by-case basis by the ODS in collaboration with the instructor of the course, chair of the student’s academic department and/or dean of the student’s college.
