Q. Are students with disabilities who use accommodations at an academic advantage over their peers?
A.
Academic accommodations enable a student with a disability to compete with his/her non-disabled peers, but they are not intended to place a student with a disability at an advantage. Academic accommodations also do not ensure a student’s academic success in a course.
