When to Arrive
Due to the large number of guests attending Commencement, it is recommended that visitors with disabilities plan to arrive one to one and a half hours prior to the ceremony.
Visitors who have disabled license plates, a disabled placard, or can show a disability-related need, will be provided access to the designated disabled parking lot behind Jowers Center (R14). Please refer to the Parking Map.
Follow I-35 South to
Follow I-35 North to
Driving west on I-10, exit onto State HWY 123 North. Stay on HWY 123 to
Travel East to I-35 and follow the directions from either I-35 North or South.
A golf cart shuttle service will be available for visitors with disabilities who are unable to walk from the Jowers parking lot to Strahan Coliseum. Each disabled guest may have one accompanying guest ride with them on the shuttle. The shuttle service will be available one hour and thirty minutes prior to each ceremony, until approximately thirty minutes following each ceremony.
Visitors with disabilities who require accessible seating should identify this need to Commencement staff at the entrance of Strahan Coliseum. Visitors will be directed to the closest available open seating area. Visitors with disabilities who wish to sit in another section closet to their graduate may do so however seating cannot be guaranteed in that section. The accessible seating areas are located in sections C, F, H, and K; the Map of Strahan Coliseum shows these sections. Each visitor with a disability will be allowed to have one accompanying family member or friend sit with them in the accessible seating area.

Sign language interpreters are provided at all Commencement ceremonies.
